My friend, Patti, and I had the chance to go to the "Quilt Show in the Barn" held in an elite neighborhood in Holladay, Utah. A shuttle bus carried us from the parking area to the old 1890's barn. The cost was $5 to get in and most of it goes to charity. I loved the 3 story barn along with the other buildings and the animals. But most of all I loved the quilts on display.

Before we got to the quilt show we went to breakfast at Penny Ann's Café in Taylorsville. They are famous in Utah for their Breakfast and their "Heavenly Hot Cakes".

I bought this book at the quilt show in the boutique section for $1. What a find! I started reading it and I already love it. It's about a Grama who teaches her granddaughters how to quilt and gives them lessons about life and how to be successful at the same time.
